Owner/Operator: Mike Farmer

Mike Farmer is a full-time service officer with the Butler County Veterans Service Commission and programmer at night. He received an A.A. with a Business Concentration, in addition to a B.S. in Information Technology from Miami University, Ohio. 

With the societal change in technology, Mike brings new technical expertise to both the Butler County Veterans Service Office as well as Veteran Service Organizations across the region. He utilized his technical training to assist the Public Service Librarian to maintain the Miami University- Hamilton’s library website as needed and assisted with a complete website redevelopment in the late Spring of 2015.

Before using his VA Education Benefits as a student at Miami University, Mike served in the United States Marine Corps. After graduating from Parris Island he was assigned to serve at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He continually volunteers his time to assist veterans in their transition to higher education and within the community. Beginning as a Co-Adviser to the Student Veterans Association on the Hamilton Campus, Mike has become a leader between all four of Miami Universities campus (Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown and Voice of America) and is a strong advocate for veterans affairs. Mike’s support for veterans is continued through his active involvement at AMVETS Post 1983 located in Hamilton, Ohio.

Given the versatility listed above, Mike is in a position to better assist those who have served our country through his experiences, advocacy and knowledge of technology.
